Being more sustainable is no longer a luxury, retailers need to prepare for a new age of mandatory with global regulations on product tracking and accountability. Retailers are looking to improve their data integrity and implement product IDs to get ready and avoid business interruption.

What is Digital ID?

Digital ID refers to a digital twin of physical products that connects the physical and the digital worlds. Digital IDs are also called Digital Product Passports (DPP); they exist at individual item levels and capture the entire product lifecycle.

Today’s technology has enabled retailers/brands/manufacturers to embed digital tags to nearly every item/surface. This advancement allows for various types of data to be stored in the garment/item for the life of that garment/item.
