Mark joined CCI in October 2023 as an evangelist on RFID after over 15 years helping some of the biggest retailers on the planet deploy item-level identification successfully. After a career in-store and at HQ with JLP/Waitrose, Mark started his own barcode and then RFID businesses back in the 90’s and 2000’s, creating one of the most successful handheld solutions in the UK during this period. Mark’s a team-player and loves to get agile minds around the table to build something appropriate for clients and de-risking innovative projects. An inventory and POS  specialist with over 35 years of experience working with retail, supply-chain & manufacturing companies focused on improving sales performance, customer experience and conversion rates through better in-stock positions and an improved view of the larger inventory piece. Mark’s rolodex of retailers, integrators, hardware, software and integrators is simply incredible but arguably his caring use of these contacts to deliver outstanding results is his greatest strength. Mark is also now pioneering the safe deployment of RFID to smaller brands across the globe, ensuring the same stunning ROI is achieved for brands in apparel, food, homeware, cosmetics, jewellery and watches, DIY, specialist, electronics, pet care and more.

  • Involved since the early 2000’s from ‘unique antennae design’ and build to ‘find-an-item metrics’, Mark has been an ever-present.
• Matalan
  • Working with the owner at his previous retailer, Jaymax, enabled Mark to help design the initial Matalan pos design in 1990 and then was the spur for the Liverpool-based retailer to begin their RFID journey, some 25 years later.
