Gene Stepanov is a Principal with Columbus Consulting.  Gene has a background in Accounting and Finance and is a CPA (inactive).  Gene has over 20 years of experience focusing on turning complex processes into easy-to-use solutions and helping clients improving their analytics.  As a highly motivated consultant Gene has a proven track record designing and implementing solutions for over 25 clients in various industries including financial services, retail, apparel and beverage distribution.  Prior to becoming a consultant, Gene had extensive corporate experience primarily in Financial Services industry where he focused on design and implementation of Management Information Systems such as Hyperion enterprise, HFM and others.  These experiences helped Gene to become a trusted expert in the area of process optimization and solution architecture.

  • Designed and implemented Anaplan models for Sales Forecasting and Customer Success Teams.  Turned bulky and time-consuming process into a transparent and fully automated solution
• Canada Goose – Technical Lead
  • Developed sales forecasting model in Anaplan for a global apparel company.  Trained the internal team and made the solution self-serviced
• Heineken – Technical Lead
  • Architected top-down-bottoms-up distribution forecasting model in Anaplan which drastically improved the accuracy of the forecast as well as trained an extensive user group and enabled them to use the platform
