  • The current sales forecasting process across wholesale and retail was supported by spreadsheets with limited analytical capabilities and was not able to scale to support business growth.  The goal was to improve collaboration and buy-in of the sales plans, increase accountability and responsiveness while eliminating time spent on manual processes and troubleshooting spreadsheets.

Solution

  • Implemented improved process to  create a stronger connection with long-range planning  application and promote forward-looking strategy and vision.
  • The Anaplan Connected Planning solution was selected to provide a more reliable, scalable, multi-user application.
  • Replaced spreadsheet process that was rigid in design and difficult to maintain, with a cloud-based planning solution that uses multidimensional technology to forecast approximately 2,000 products across approximately  2,500 retail stores, warehouses, distribution centers, and independent  partners.

Outcome

  • Dramatically improved the time to perform the planning process, by streamlining the data flow and access to information.
  • Provided greater visibility to forecast and improved collaboration between corporate finance, merchandising, commercial and business insights organization, improving buy-in to plans and  execution.
