The Black Retail Action Group (BRAG), established in 1970, is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization that prepares and educates professionals, entrepreneurs and students for executive leadership in retail, fashion and related industries. As a leading retail boutique consulting firm, Columbus Consulting is proud to align with this organization to help foster the careers of young persons of color.

Columbus Consulting is offering two scholarships to student BRAG members, hosting an internship program and will participate in educational panels to share industry knowledge and provide ongoing networking opportunities. The new partnership is part of Columbus Consulting’s commitment to inclusion and expanding its reach within minority communities.

“The retail industry provides a unique environment for all individuals to learn a business from the selling floor to the corporate office. It is a special community of professionals who have developed expertise in operations, technology, customer service, marketing and other fields. Columbus Consulting is proud to share its network of experts with the BRAG student community and looks forward to mentoring the members throughout their retail career journeys.” Brad Eckhart, Operating Chair of CCI’s Diversity Committee.

With over 300 leading retail clients and a professional base of 100 industry experts, Columbus is perfectly positioned to help students explore their interests in retail while providing exposure to former C-suite and senior level executives.

BRAG, which originated at F.I.T, now has 8 chapters and is led by a who’s who of volunteer retail leaders committed to bringing diversity to the business of fashion, retail, and related industries. Want to learn more? Go to www.bragusa.org.
