Biography

Jeff Fisher is a Partner with Columbus Consulting. For more than 20 years, Jeff’s focus has been primarily on Merchandise Planning & Allocation, Merchandising, Distribution, Data Warehousing and Point of Sale. Projects have included; implementation of merchandise planning systems (custom, TXT Maple Lake, JDA/Arthur, Makoro), Microstrategy Data Warehouse, Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System, as well as numerous custom smaller-scale systems designed to improve the workflow of mainframe legacy systems. Jeff has been involved in all aspects of retail systems, including needs analysis, requirements gathering, process design, systems design and program and project management (SDLC). He has also done organizational design and change management in his senior-level roles. He has a long track record of building successful relationships with all levels of the business.

Prior to joining Columbus in 2010, Jeff was the Vice President of Information Technology for Guitar Center’s Retail Division, where he was responsible for providing senior-level direction to all systems efforts, as well as sitting on the Retail Division Executive Leadership Team. Prior to this, Jeff was Chief Technology Officer at Seven For All Mankind, Senior Director at Gap Inc. Director at Disney Stores, and Senior Manager for Victoria’s Secret Stores. Jeff started his career at Ernst & Young where he was a consultant for 5 years.

Relevant Experience

  • Designed an merchandise planning operational data mart for a large club-based retailer, employing Oracle OBIEE and SQLServer.
  • Lead the design and construction of a reporting data mart for a large discount retailer to support their 1,000 member US Merchant team.
  • Designed a complete hierarchy restructuring for a women’s specialty apparel business for 3 distinct brands.
  • Program and project managed a multi-vendor design of RPAS Store Planning for a large national discount reseller.  Coordinated bi-coastal client IT teams as well as another 3rd party consulting team.
  • Led the system selection and implementation of a merchandise planning system (TXT Maple Lake) for the 3rd largest direct seller in the US.
